Get Curious

Q: How can I reduce the overwhelm - my own and that of others - of the current situation on our planet?

A: Help find a way for people to take back control and flip the narrative.

We do this by making the commitment as individuals to change our behaviour and daily habits and by taking greater responsibility for our own health.

If we ALL do this we remove the overwhelm of feeling responsible for fixing everyone else, and we would collectively help change the world. This is not a unique thought. But this is my contribution.

When I pitched the concept of Get Curious: It's Time for a Health Revolution to Kangaroo Island Community Radio (5KIxFM) I was absolutely thrilled and immensely grateful that they agreed!

Then the work began ...

After creating a list of experts in their field, of talented people based on Kangaroo Island and further afield, I started to approach them one by one, inviting them to share their story.

I wanted to know about their journey - what path they took and how they went about gathering their knowledge and wisdom over time.

In addition to this, I have requested that they share a "golden nugget" with my audience - a piece of advice, a minor change we could each make to our daily habits that, if followed, could have a phenomenal impact on our own health and potentially that of the planet.

I also asked them for a song list, and there have been some delightful hidden treasures uncovered and the odd classic hit.

Since August 2026 the interviews with these incredible people have aired each week on 5KIxFM 90.7 (and streaming on 5kixfm.org) on Wednesday at 10am South Australian time.

If the timing of the show doesn't fit in with your schedule, the good news is, the fabulous people at 5KIxFM created a special page on their website for me to share the full episode with you.

The interview, the music, the lot!

In time, the videos of the interviews will be published on the KI Dragonfly YouTube channel.

Until then, you are invited to enjoy the audio of their interviews, along with their chosen music, via Get Curious Replay.
